Spring Clean with Purpose
If you’re thinking about selling or just want your home to feel a little more loved, do your future self a favor and tackle these three things this season.
I love the anticipation of spring. I’m beyond ready to get my hands in the dirt and air out the house. Matt’s not necessarily a fan of all the open windows while the heat’s still on, but there’s something about that fresh air, it just makes everything feel better.
If you’re thinking about selling or just want your home to feel a little more loved, do your future self a favor and tackle these three things this season. They're the things we notice the most this time of the year when walking through homes with sellers and buyers alike:
1. Smells + Stale Air
Nothing beats fresh air. Crack the windows and let your house breathe. It clears out that closed-up winter smell and makes everything feel lighter.
2. Beat-Up Trim + Dusty Baseboards
It’s easy to overlook until you’re standing in someone else’s home, then it’s all you can see. Dust the baseboards, touch up scuffed trim, and add a fresh coat of paint where needed. It makes a bigger difference than you think.
3. Dead Bushes + Overgrown Beds
Winter can be rough on the yard. Clean up dead trees and shrubs, rake out the garden beds, and clear the walkways. A tidy exterior says “well cared for” before anyone even opens the door.
